It’s no secret the Steelers need to upgrade their offensive line. However, one thing that’s also going to hurt them is getting rid of veteran players such as Alejandro Villanueva. Luckily, they have enough young talent on the roster to play guard and tackle.
Outgoing players include Ramon Foster, Marcus Gilbert, and B.J. Finney. The team also has a potential superstar coming up in front of Ben Roethlisberger in Mason Rudolph. Tim Smith, The defensive end who was drafted in the fourth round in 2018 was a solid pick at that point in the draft. He finished the season with two sacks and a forced fumble. It’s clear that he’s a strong and good pass rusher, he just needs to get better on the edge. But for 2021 he should be a solid starter.
Andre Allen is a young pass rusher that they selected in the sixth round of the 2018 draft. He only recorded one sack but could be a good developmental guy. He will also be entering his second year in 2019 which is where he should improve.
Corey Moore is another strong defender who played for the Steelers in 2018. He has good size and agility for his size.
